August 10, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (OTC: CPSZ), dba EZ Card and Kiosk, recently installed a number of kiosks and trained the entire staff at the Pima County Jail and Mission Street Work Release Center in Tucson, Arizona, in conjunction with Plano, Texas-based Value Added Communication, Inc., a premier provider of telecommunications services for the detention and correctional markets.

Pima County Jail has 2355 beds and the facility releases over 140 inmates per day. CPSI installed four kiosks at the main jail facility’s booking area, holding area and lobby. A kiosk was also installed at the Mission Street Work Release Center for work release payments by accepting employer’s checks, money orders, credit/debit cards and cash. In the near future, the EZ Release Card program will be implemented, which issues a PIN-based debit card to released inmates, allowing the Pima County Jail to eliminate the issuance of paper checks.

Under this strategic alliance, Value Added Communication has provided all of Lattice Telecom services throughout the facility.
