August 10, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc., (NASDAQ: GMCR) said it has priced a public offering of five million shares of its common stock at $67.25 per share. BofA Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER) is serving as sole book-running manager.

The company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 750,000 additional shares of common stock to cover overallotments at the price to the public less an underwriting discount. The offering is scheduled to close on or about August 12.

Green Mountain said it is expecting net proceeds of around $321.4 million. The company plans to use the funds to repay debt, including part of the outstanding balance under its credit facility, and the remainder for general corporate purposes.

Waterbury, Vermont-based Green Mountain Coffee Roasters manages its operations through Green Mountain Coffee and Keurig. Its Green Mountain Coffee division sells coffee selections under the Green Mountain Coffee and Newman’s Own Organics brands through its wholesale, direct mail and e-commerce operations

Green Mountain Coffee also produces its coffee as well as hot cocoa and tea in K-Cup portion packs for Keurig single-cup brewers. Keurig markets its brewers and K-Cup portion packs through office distributors, retail and direct channels.
