July 24, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN) said that Thomas D. Christopoul has resigned from his positions as the company’s president and chief executive officer and as a director, effective immediately. The move came at the request of the company’s board.

The board has reappointed Donald B. Murray, the company’s founder and current executive chairman, as CEO. Murray will also continue to serve as the chairperson of the Resources Connection board. Murray previously served as the company’s president and CEO from June 1996 through May 31, 2008.

Resources will hold an investor conference call on July 24 at 8: 00 a.m. ET.
