Richmond, BC, Canada - November 6th, 2008 - Ultrasonix Medical Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging systems announced today the introduction of the SonixTOUCH ultrasound imaging system.
SonixTOUCH is a, compact, portable diagnostic ultrasound system developed around the 3rd generation OpenSONIX platform and is capable of generating premium-level image quality. This system is completely touch screen driven allowing for a reconfigurable user interface. The system can be configured for virtually any ultrasound application and use model making it the world's first true market-adaptable ultrasound system.
SonixTOUCH provides imaging capabilities equivalent to premium systems and includes such advanced imaging features as Pulse Inversion Harmonics, Transmit/Receive Spatial Compounding, Panoramic Imaging, Real-time 3D imaging and Elastography Imaging.
SonixTOUCH can be configured to image as a premium B&W only system or it can be configured to image as a full-featured premium system with all the advanced imaging modes. The system features 3 active transducer ports, an optional 1.5 hour battery for mobile applications, and 802.11b/g wirelesss connectivity.
