Aicent Serves One Billion Mobile Subscribers

SAN JOSE, California -- Aicent, Inc. (www.aicent.com) today announced that the number of mobile phone subscribers receiving services enabled by the company's data roaming and messaging exchanges now exceeds one billion around the world. The company makes this announcement as it surpasses its 100th carrier customer.

Aicent's roaming exchange services, such as its GPRS Roaming eXchange (GRX) and 3G Roaming eXchange (3GRX), enable carriers to let their subscribers roam onto other carrier's networks, as well as open their own networks to roaming. Aicent's SMS and MMS gateways enable mobile subscribers to send text and content-rich multimedia messages to hundreds of millions of people on systems beyond their own mobile operator's network.

"One hundred carriers choosing Aicent services to serve collectively one billion mobile subscribers underscores the significant role Aicent plays in advancing the wireless and mobility industry across the globe," said Lynn Liu, president and CEO of Aicent. "As we celebrate this important milestone, Aicent has moved forward to develop further advanced services such as IP Exchange (IPX), Personal IM, Integrated Messaging and advanced roaming services. These services are expected to create better user experiences and also to maximize our customers' revenue potential."

Aicent counts major operators including China Mobile and China Unicom in China, AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular) in the US, NTT DoCoMo and Softbank in Japan, O2 and Starmap group in Europe, Bharti and Reliance in India - all among the largest wireless carriers in the world - as its customers. With 100 global carriers as customers, Aicent now enables services for mobile operators in 55 countries.
