A RESOLUTION

Designating February 11, 2021, as "PA 2-1-1 Day" in

Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, 2-1-1 is a free service available to all residents

of this Commonwealth to assist in supporting a multitude of

health and human service needs; and

WHEREAS, PA 2-1-1 is the nonprofit organization assigned use

of the 2-1-1 dialing code by the Pennsylvania Public Utility

Commission in order to provide community service information and

referral, currently accomplished through seven regional

programs; and

WHEREAS, PA 2-1-1 celebrated 100% Statewide coverage of its

services, effective January 1, 2020; and

WHEREAS, 2-1-1 connects all residents of this Commonwealth in

need of health and human services with assistance available

through government programs and private and nonprofit

organizations in their communities; and

WHEREAS, 2-1-1 has the potential to provide assistance to
