Gazprom Neft increases gasoline production in Q1 2021

Gasoline production at Gazprom Neft’s Moscow and Omsk Refineries saw a 4.3% increase in Q1 2021 reaching 1.7 million tonnes: production of high-tech 100-octane-number G-Drive 100 fuel, in particular, increasing by 17%. Production of much-in-demand winter diesel fuels increased by 9.1%, reaching 1.1 million tonnes. Gazprom Neft’s refineries saw a 6.9% increase in production of commercial road and construction bitumens against Q1 2020, reaching 400,000 tonnes.

This increase in production volumes is the result of modernisation projects at the company’s refining facilities, including the launch of the Euro+ refining complex in July 2020, with refining depth (the “conversion factor”) at the company’s Moscow and Omsk Refineries now reaching 82.5% and 92.6%, respectively. The company’s directly owned refineries processed a total 7.4 million tonnes of crude in this reporting period.

Gazprom Neft is undertaking a major programme to modernise its Moscow and Omsk Refineries, involving total investment of more than RUB700 billion by 2025. Plants have seen the construction and reconstruction of key technological facilities, allowing the complete transition to the production of Euro-5 fuels, significantly improving energy efficiency and environmental friendliness in production.
