President mourns road accident victims

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 9 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, regretted this Friday the tragic road accidents in northern Cuanza Norte province on Thursday, claiming 14 lives and injuring many others, including children. ,

In a press note that reached Angop on Friday, the head of State said he was in dismay when learnt about the tragic accident that occurred on Thursday in that northern region of Angola.

 

"Once again, a road accident uselessly takes away human lives with Angolan families left to grieve," reads the note.

 

For this reason the President expresses his solidarity and condolences to the mourning families wishing them strength to overcome with courage such a difficult moment.

 

Last Thursday afternoon, in the Beira Alta region, Cambambe municipality, Cuanza Norte province, a collision between a bus and a tank truck killed 14 people and left a high number of injured people.
