CLEARWATER, FL, US, December 27, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Dedicated volunteer from the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Florida chapter spread the truth about drugs far and wide this holiday season with over 5,000 “The Truth About Drugs” informational booklets distributed at several Holiday events around the Tampa Bay area between December 7th and December 22nd.



With Pinellas being within the top five counties in Florida with the most drug or alcohol overdoses from 2014–2016, the Foundation for a Drug-Free World is working to reduce the drug abuse and hopefully put an end to it.



“Alcohol related deaths actually surpass other drugs, including opioids overdoses,” said Julieta Santagostino the President of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Florida chapter, “so, we want to remind everyone to stay safe over the Holiday Season.”



The Foundation for a Drug-Free World provides 14 different educational booklets to the public covering the most abused drugs, including the Truth About Alcohol and Truth About Marijuana.



The Foundation also holds seminars every Wednesday evening at 7:00PM in its information center located at 41 N. Fort Harrison Ave in Clearwater. Parents are encouraged to bring children as young as 10 to this highly effective educational seminar. There is no cost to attend.
