Ruling party prepares internal regulations for local power

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 1 - The ruling MPLA party is working on internal regulations aimed at governing the procedure for the election of its candidates, ahead of the local governments in the country scheduled for 2020. ,

 

The regulation sets rules, criteria and profiles for the candidates to the municipalities by the MPLA.

 

The secretary for information of MPLA, Paulo  Pombolo, who was speaking at the end of the 6th Ordinary Session of the Central Committee, said the meeting also evaluated the methodology for the selection and composition of lists of the candidates for the local authorities.

 

In the social field, the members of this deliberative body analysed the diagnosis of the situation of the health sector, having concluded that the Executive should focus to this sector.

 

They concluded that the sector needs greater attention to the implementation of the measures of prevention to the factors of risk, propagation of diseases, mitigation of occurrences of outbreaks and epidemics.

 

The recommendations of the session, chaired by  MPLA president, João Lourenço, include the permanent admission of employees to the health sector, as well as the ensuring more public investments for this area.

 

MPLA also recommended the Angolan Executive the creation of an operational plan for the establishment of public-private partnerships.

 

The Central Committee of MPLA is the maximum deliberative organ made of 363 elected members.
