Head of State encourages inspection against corruption

Luanda, ANGOLA, November 27 - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, Tuesday encouraged the monitoring, inspection and audit actions against corruption within the framework of the Strategic Organizations of Internal Control of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).,

It is an organ of the CPLP that comprises institutions linked to the General Inspection of State Administration and that is meeting in Luanda, in the VIII Annual Conference.

As Head of State of the hosting country, President João Lourenço received in a meeting a delegation representing the participants to the conference, and analyzed issues on the sector.

After the meeting, Luvinda Jerónimo, the spokesman for the Eighth Annual Conference of Strategic Organizations of Internal Control of the CPLP, told the press that he had received from the Head of State encouragement to continue the inspection activity in the various organs of public administration.

At the end of November last year, President João Lourenço acknowledged the need to "moralize" society, with a "serious fight" against practices that "harm the public interest" to ensure that impunity "has its days counted."
