NEW YORK, Nov. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Best Seller TV, the only show dedicated to covering today’s best-selling business books on C-Suite TV, is announcing its November programming featuring Diane Hamilton, Ph.D., author of Cracking the Curiosity Code: The Key to Unlocking Human Potential.
With this book, Diane Hamilton, Ph.D., accomplished something that, she says, hasn’t been done before: conducting research about the things that hold people back from being curious. Hamilton argues that there’s plenty of research out there about curiosity as a whole, but not about what prevents people from being curious. The book uses extensive research to create a “curiosity code index,” an assessment to find out what holds each individual back.
The assessment focuses on trying to get leaders, consultants, and Human Resources executives to realize that they need to have a workplace culture that emphasizes the need to stay curious and ask questions. As more workplaces struggle with engagement, innovation, and productivity and with losses mounting to more than $500 billion, people are looking for feedback in order to find alignment with and remain engaged in the workplace. Hamilton says that, “If companies are looking for more innovative employees, the way to get that is allowing them to ask questions.”
In the book, Hamilton looks to outline the factors that hold people back and after conducting extensive research, she narrowed down the factors into four ‘buckets’ which she refers to as “F.A.T.E.” – Fear, Assumptions, Technology, and Environment. The acronym was created as a result of factor analysis, research, and searching for the right questions to ask of participants.
Once the reader takes the assessment, it will provide results that are specific to their issues, which allows them to create a personalized action plan that addresses their specific needs.
Hamilton says the book is for any worker, whether white collar or blue collar, that is looking to remain engaged and motivated while seeking to expand their level of curiosity. She adds, “Curiosity gets you interested to even be motivated. You can’t get to the next step if you’re not motivated.”
All episodes of Best Seller TV will air on C-Suite TV and are hosted by TV personality, Taryn Winter Brill.
Best-selling author, speaker, and former Fortune 100 CMO Jeffrey Hayzlett created C-Suite TV to give top-tier business authors a forum for sharing thought-provoking insights, in-depth business analysis, and their compelling personal narratives.
“Diane is an excellent student of human nature and her inate curiosity to discover the obstacles people face is exactly why she’s an expert and why she wrote this book,” Hayzlett said. “I think readers and our TV audience alike will learn how to steamroll the obstacles they face and how break free from those roadblocks that constantly hold us back, keeping us from being great.”
