UNITA defends respect for differences

Ndalatando, ANGOLA, October 31 - Angola's major opposition UNITA party in northern Cuanza Norte province has defended tolerance and respect for political differences, aimed at building a nation of peace and without violence. ,

 

The appeal was launched Wednesday by the party’s provincial secretary in Cuanza Norte, Francisco Fernandes "Falua."

 

Speaking to the press on the current political context of the province, Falua encouraged the Angolans to stick to understanding and tolerance.

 

To UNITA, he said, politics must submit to ethics, adding that there is no politics without ethics.

 

The politician regretted the interference by militants from other political organisation in the initiatives of his party to create bad environment.

 

According to him, the continuation of this attitude demonstrates difficulties in adapting  to the new winds of democracy.
