Angola: Vice President leaves for Zimbabwe

Luanda, ANGOLA, August 26 - Angola's Vice President Bornito de Sousa left Saturday for Harare, Zimbabwe, to attend, on behalf of the Angolan head of States João Lourenço, the inauguration of the President-elect Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday. ,

 

Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, 71, who campaigned under the banner of ZANU-PF party,  won the elections with 50.8 percent of the votes.

 

Zimbabwe held the Elections on 30 July this year.

 

Zimbabwe is member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

 

SADC comprises Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mauritius, Seychelles, Malawi, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Mozambique and Zambia.
