Ruling MPLA and Portuguese Communist Party evaluate cooperation
Luanda, ANGOLA, July 14 - A delegation of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) will hold a five-day official working visit to Angola on Saturday (14), in order to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation with the Angolan ruling MPLA party.,
According to a press release from the Information and Propaganda Department of the MPLA Central Committee, the main objective of the visit is to exchange information on the situation in the respective countries and regions, as well as to evaluate possibilities for deepening and diversifying relations between cooperation.
The official talks between the parties will take place next Monday (16), in Luanda, followed by an audience of the MPLA secretary general, Paulo Kassoma, to the Portuguese delegation.
During the stay in the Angolan capital, the delegation of the PCP, led by its member of the Secretariat and the Political Committee of the Central Committee, José Capucho, will also hold meetings with the MPLA youth and women’s wings (JMPLA and OMA) respectively.
The work programme of the Portuguese delegation, which is due to return to Lisbon next Wednesday (18), includes visits to historical sites of the city of Luanda, namely the Coin Museum, among others.
The last meeting between MPLA and PCP delegations took place in June 2016, also in the city of Luanda.
