Luanda, ANGOLA, June 28 - Portugal's Social Democratic Party (PSD) leader Rui Rio has stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Angola and the European country. ,

 

This was during an audience the Angolan head of State João Lourenço granted to him on Thursday.

 

Rui Rio, who was speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, expressed his availability to contribute to strengthening of friendship and cooperation ties between the two States.

 

Still on cooperation between Angola and Portugal, the PSD leader assured that there are conditions for  strengthening of the ties.

 

The visiting agenda includes a meeting with the ruling MPLA party’s president, José Eduardo dos Santos.

 

The PSD leader, who has been in Luanda since Wednesday, is leading his party's delegation on a two-day visit to Angola.
