SIPA Launches “SelectSIPs” Magazine for the Architectural, Engineering & Construction Industry.

Inaugural Issues of SelectSIPs Magazine now available in print & digital editions

World-wide association, launches publication featuring SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) projects, practices & sustainable construction industry highlights.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, June 11, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The inaugural issues of SelectSIPs Magazine are now available in digital and print formats. The new full size glossy publication is produced by SIPA, the Structural Insulated Panel Association, and focuses on green, high performance building practices using Structural Insulated Panel Systems (SIPs). Featuring world-wide residential and commercial content, SelectSIPs curates the best industry education, collaboration, and technical research for the widely adopted SIPs building envelope framing method.

“With codes now requiring 50% more energy efficiency than 10 years ago, it seemed the perfect time to launch this resource,” said Ard Smits, SIPA President. “SIPs have long been used for high performance roofs, walls and floors because of the extreme energy efficiency they provide. As energy codes have changed, SIPs have gone more mainstream and our membership has grown exponentially. The new SelectSIPs Magazine enables us to deliver timely ideas, tips and project highlights to our members and stakeholders in one place.”

Ideal for Architects, Engineers & Contractors, SelectSIPs will cover regular columns and articles highlighting comprehensive benefits and methods for SIPs framed structures. SIPA Members anxious to share their stories, will help provide documented examples of exceptional energy efficiency, SIPs strength in extreme weather conditions (over traditional stick framed structures), and their proven methods for shorter construction times with factory manufactured SIPs framing components. The magazine will be published in Fall and Spring and distributed at conventions, trade shows and with architects, manufacturers, suppliers, dealer/distributors, design professionals, code officials, developers and builders.

“We’re excited to have another resource for our community of SIPs Stakeholders,” said Jack Armstrong, SIPA Executive Director & COO. “High performance construction methods like SIPSs have moved from energy passionate, quality minded, champions of sustainability to contractors and designers who are simply ready to build a better building. Publishing the SelectSIPs Magazine is one more way we can reach out to support and educate our community for both today… and the future of the built environment.”

ABOUT SIPA

The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) is a 501c6 non-profit association dedicated to increasing the use and acceptance of structural insulated panels (SIPs) in sustainable building by providing an industry forum for promotion, communication, education, quality assurance, and technical and marketing research. SIPs are a high performance, panelized building system that offers superior thermal performance, air tightness, and durability for energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings.

Builders and design professionals seeking to reduce energy use and minimize the carbon footprint of their buildings utilize SIPs as a cost-effective solution for exterior wall and roof systems that also cuts down on framing time, significantly reduces construction waste, and ensures greater jobsite quality control through prefabrication. SIPs are an enabling technology to meet to the Architecture 2030 Challenge for net-zero, carbon neutral buildings today. Learn more at www.sips.org.
