Angola and Singapore explore business possibilities

According to a press release from the Angolan MInistry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), which reached Angop, the minister has already met with Singapore’s Finance Minister, Singapore Business Federation, Government Investment Corporation and some of the main business groups.
Manuel Augusto, who is accompanied by the Minister of Mineral Resources and Petroleum, Diamantino Azevedo, will also participate in a roundtable with several groups of businessmen from Singapore.
The Angolan delegation, is also integrated by the Secretary of State for Treasury, Vera Daves de Sousa, President’s aide for the Productive Sector, Isaac Maria dos Anjos, as well as Ismael Gaspar Martins, non-executive director of the Angolan Sovereign Wealth Fund, and Sebastião Gaspar Martins , member of the Board of Directors of Sonangol.
Angola intends to cooperate in the areas of planning and development, technology and productive innovation, environment and natural resources, education, culture and heritage, energy, mining, fishing, agriculture and agribusiness, ports, transport, communications, tourism, health, being, among others.
Singapore is the sixth largest financial market in Asia.
