President of Republic wants registration of rural lands

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 15 - The Angolan President, João Lourenço, set up an interministerial commission to register rural lands in Luanda on behalf of local communities.,

The team will have as tasks to survey existing rural or community land in rural communities and analyze the extent of useful and effective use of such land.

It is also part of the project to promote the rapid recognition and registration of buildings and communal land in a common domain, as well as the granting of land rights to holders of parcels of land that meet the legal requirements.

Other tasks to be determined by the President of the Republic, under the same allocation plan, will also be carried out by the Commission, which will have two years to complete the work and will be supported by a technical group composed essentially of Secretaries of State.

The commission is coordinated by the Minister of State and head of the Civil House and includes five ministers and a secretary of the President of the Republic.
