“When looking at our award program, we realized we didn’t have a category that recognizes leaders in first aid, CPR and AED training, but we wanted to honor LogistiCare for going above and beyond the requirements of safety regulations,” said Robert Thomma, National Safety Council director of major accounts. “LogistiCare has created an industry standard in NEMT safety that should be applauded and replicated.”

NSC first aid, CPR and AED training are among many credentialing standards and protocols drivers in LogistiCare’s transportation provider network must complete. The company’s stringent, safe driver program also includes instruction in defensive driving, passenger assistance and sensitivity training.

Gordon McInnis, safety director at LogistiCare, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

“NSC programs are unrivaled in helping reduce risk and promoting safety,” said McInnis. “Our clients choose to work with us because they know there is a consistent application of leading safety protocols and our adherence to these standards gives members confidence knowing they will experience reliable, safe transportation. The NSC acknowledgement is a great distinction of which we are very proud.”

LogistiCare’s most recent recognition is one of many honors the company has received from the National Safety Council. Past accomplishments include:

2012 - DDC Best Performance Award: Presented to the DDC Training Center whose accomplishments far exceeded other training centers in their group.

2013 - DDC Trend Setter Award: Presented to DDC Training Centers that work to develop as many safe drivers as possible.
