In commemorating Religious Freedom Day on January 16, the U.S. government reaffirms its pledge to promote international religious freedom (IRF) as both central to American identity and a shared universal value. In honor of this day, the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor and the Office of International Religious Freedom are hosting a month-long Facebook Live series bringing together civil society and government experts to talk about promoting and protecting the fundamental freedom of religion or belief.
