Divorce Courts Across Pennsylvania Raise Filing Costs
HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES, December 4, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Effective November 30, 2017, each of Pennsylvania's 67 counties were required by the state to increase the cost of filing a divorce action by $4.75. This means that the total court costs due to county divorce courts will range from just under $100.00 to nearly $400.00 for the simplest divorce actions. There are significant (and varied) additional court costs when the action includes counts in addition to just becoming divorced, such as demands concerning child custody and/or support, spousal support, alimony, property division, etc.
Pennsylvania courts all raise what they charge from time to time, sometime county by county and sometime, like this time, when an increase in mandated by the state for all 67 county Courts of Common Pleas.
