Photo exhibition on independence gains opens
The exhibition, comprising over 700 photographs, was inaugurated by the provincial deputy governor for Political, Social and Economic affairs, Leonor Ferreira de Lima e Cruz, and will remain available to the public until Saturday (11).
The display also portrays the progress made in the social and political field, as well as the images of people who have been involved in the conquest of the independence, especially the figure of the first and late Angolan president
, António Agostinho Neto.
In a statement to the press, on the occasion, the provincial director for Culture, David Buba, called on the citizens to visit the display , in order to get acquainted with Angola's history.
"The photographs depict a complete history of our country, from the moment of the struggle against Portuguese colonialism to the proclamation of independence, as well as the conquest of peace," he said.
