Luanda, ANGOLA, October 3 - Adão Francisco Correia de Almeida, a married man that was born on 13 May 1979, is the new minister of Territory Administration and State Reform, appointed by the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço. ,

 

He has a Law degree from the state-owned Agostinho Neto University (UAN).

 

He also has a Master’s degree in Juridical and Political Sciences from the UAN in co-operation with the Law Faculty of Portugal’s Universidade de Lisboa.

 

Adão de Almeida has already been vice minister of Territory Administration for Institutional and Electoral Matters, Secretary of State of the Territory Administration Ministry for Institutional Matters, Assistant Lecturer at the Agostinho Neto University (UAN), member of the National Electoral Commission in the year 2012 and member of the Technical Forum of the Constitutional Commission of the National Assembly (Parliament).

 

Among other occupations and jobs in the legal area, Adão de Almeida has also been a member of the Commission for the Reform of the Justice Sector and Law in Angola.

 

The new minister of Territory Administration and State Reform speaks English and is a member of the ruling MPLA party’s Central Committee.

 

He has released a couple of publications (essays) in the area of Law.
