Kickstarter campaign launched for 'smart' armband by Danish developers

Do you rely on your phone? ReFit is an exciting new smart device that’s seeking crowdfunding to help consumers like you charge your mobile when you need it most

COPENHAGEN, 450 DKK, DENMARK, March 6, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A Danish development company is seeking crowdfunding to bring its latest prototype to the market: a smart armband that carries enough charge to power mobile devices whilst monitoring personal fitness.

The ReFit is a smart device that’s designed to work best for those on the move. With smartphone devices eating through battery faster than ever thanks to memory-hungry applications, the need for backup power reserves has never been greater for today’s consumers.

This tiny little aerodynamically personal buddy is designed to be the friend that consumers simply can’t bear to live without, with the ability to give between 35-40% charge from its powerbank to keep smartphone battery life topped up.

A spokesperson for Reload World ApS said: “Every month there are new smartphones released on the market that continue to push the boundaries of what consumers expect, often at the expense of battery life.

“At Reload World, we acknowledge that smartphones are consumers’ lifeline to the world. Our phones have a knack of running out of juice when we least expect it and ReFit is an innovative charging solution that not only keeps smartphones running longer, it also doubles as a beautiful piece of jewelry and a fitness monitor, tracking your heart rate and daily steps.”

The company is at the prototype stage and its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign demonstrates the flexible band that not only houses ReFit’s electronics but also its analog clock display, too.

Consumers would be forgiven for wondering just how the ReFit operates whilst managing to store enough of its power for phone charging. The ReFit app receives raw data from the armband via Bluetooth Low Energy, using the phone to process the raw data and provide highly accurate results for users rather than the armband itself.

By transferring the number-crunching processing to the smartphone itself, the ReFit maintains its battery life and can use as much of it as possible to charge devices whenever it’s needed.

The Reload World team have just over a month left of their Kickstarter campaign and are seeking to raise DKK 1,000,000 to get their second generation product design off the ground.

Reload World ApS is a Danish development company based in Holstebro. Established by the company’s owners, Muhammed Adel Rafik and Hussain Adel Rafik in February 2014, the company has focused heavily on developing and selling electronic devices with the ability to recharge smartphones and home appliances to cater for the modern world. The company has already unveiled the RW1, a decorative personal accessory that has a dual purpose as jewelry and a powerbank for mobile devices.
