On Friday December 2, 2016, Leaders in Energy will give recognition to four inspiring and deserving leaders in the clean energy field. The third annual Four Generations of Leaders in Clean Energy & Sustainable Solutions Awards honor contributions from people of all ages, across the generations, in the clean energy and sustainability arena.
The theme of this year’s 4gen event is all about “Sparking the passion in others.” The winners of this year’s award, who have been nominated by their fellow members of the Leaders in Energy group, are:
• World War II: Penelope A. "Penny" Gross, Fairfax Board of Supervisors for the Mason District
• Baby Boomer: Albert Nunez, Vice President of Capital Sun Group
• Generation X: Dave McCarthy, Founder/Director, Potential Energy DC & Founder/Managing Partner, Spore 1, LLC
• Millennial: Nofar Hamrany, Environmental Leader at New York University Campuses in DC and Shanghai
Hear from a local leader in energy and environmental policy, a titan in the field of solar power, the leader of a non-profit incubator for sustainability entrepreneurship, and a student leader who already has had a global impact.
