To Honor Our Moms, Vote for Hillary Clinton: Tamils for Clinton
After the right to vote for women was ratified on August 18, 1920,the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granted American women the right to vote. It has been 94 years since the women voting rights have been amended. Quotient with sane base At least tomorrow on November 08, 2016, we have the chance to elect a woman candidate as our next president.
We have seen very successful women such as Janet Yellen (Chair, Federal Reserve, Washington, United States), Mary Barra (CEO, General Motors) and Christine Lagarde (Managing director, International Monetary Fund).
Also, we have seen very successful women in politics, including leaders like Britain former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Israel’s’ Golda Meyer, India’s Indra Gandhi and Germany’s Angela Merkel.
We have seen many women achieve important positions such as secretary of state, attorney general, and Supreme Court judge. Now is the time for us to hand over the US presidency to a woman candidate.
Please vote for Secretary Clinton to honor our moms who guided us throughout our life. Voting for Ms. Clinton is a very honorable gift to our moms, daughters and wives.
Tamils for Clinton is a political activist group comprised of Americans with the majority being Tamil Americans. They believe that over 145,000 Tamil civilians living in Sri Lanka were massacred during the last weeks of the Sri Lankan ethnic war. They have also observed post war behaviors of the Sri Lankan Singhalese victors, and concluded that Tamils in Sri Lanka will only be safe when this war torn island is divided into two individual self-governing nations.
It is of interest to note that according to UN Internal Review Report on Sri Lanka, around 70,000 Tamil civilians may have been massacred in the last six months of the ethnic war. Also, Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph, the Bishop of Mannar in Sri Lanka gave a presentation to the Sri Lankan Lessons Learnt & Reconciliation Commission, exposing to the world that over 146,679 Tamil civilians in the area of Vanni were not accounted for in post-war Sri Lanka.
