DETROIT, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES, July 29, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Detroit, MI. The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago – Detroit Branch was the host location for a historic event in the Veteran Business movement this past Thursday July 21, 2016. Over 20 Corporations, as well as Federal, State and local Government officials were in attendance to meet with representatives of 150 Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses. The event is being hailed as a resounding success.

According to Keith King, President of the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC), the event was very well received by all parties, and offered the opportunity for stakeholders to network and plan for greater cooperation going forward.

"Both the veterans and the corporate attendees seemed to be very pleased," King said, "and I am grateful to the entire team who worked so hard to make this event a success. In fact, the Federal Reserve is already talking with us about plans for 2017 and 2018 events."
