Glenn H. Curtiss Museum Names New Executive Director

Curtiss Museum announced today the appointment of Benjamin Johnson to succeed Trafford Doherty as executive director. Johnson will join the museum in mid-June and will assume his responsibilities as executive director upon Trafford's retirement on July 29, 2016.

Benjamin Johnson comes to the Curtiss Museum from the Springfield Museum in Springfield, Ore. where he has served as executive director for two and a half years. He holds a master's degree in history from the University of Nebraska and a bachelor's degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Previously, Johnson also held various positions at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland, Neb.
