"There are several LEED categories where our Energy Protect™ insulation coating can be used to make buildings more sustainable," explained Francesca Crolley V.P. Training & Specifications for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. "The coating provides a great combination of attributes including energy savings in all seasons, UV resistance, mold/mildew resistance, and the ability to be painted onto multiple surfaces in a clear layer. One project where architectural firm Bleck & Bleck Architects used LEED strategies was a historical commercial building retrofit in Illinois. Our Energy Protect™ coating provided an effective way to insulate the solid brick, keeping its beauty intact, and increasing energy efficiency at a low up front cost."
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is a nationally accepted green building certification administered by the U.S. Green Building Council. Categories where Industrial Nanotech coatings can contribute positively to overall green building attributes include Energy & Atmosphere, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Sustainable Sites, among others.
Ms. Crolley continues, "Other projects of note where our patented insulation coatings for building energy efficiency have been used include the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, The Frost Art Museum in Miami, a government data center for Mexico's Social Security and Health Administration, and corporate housing by Hyundai Corporation in South Korea."
