“I really didn’t know what to expect,” stated Sophia, a new guest, “But what was amazing to me was to meet with all these professionals with similar goals and purposes which opens doors for cooperation and further helping each other. It was great.”

Mr. Maurice Mickens, President of Harlem Nights, a community group supporting non-profits, gained a sponsor for his “Art and Music” summer camp for kids in the Greenwood neighborhood. The camp will teach kids art and to play instruments by artists and accomplished musicians at the Dr. MLK Jr. Community Center.

“The children really appreciate having the opportunity to learn these skills,” stated Mr. Mickens, “That’s why we were pleased to receive the offer from the Information Center’s manager to host a fundraiser at the Center.  The funds will assist those families who cannot afford the camp but would like their children to participate.”

The concert will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 6-8pm and will spotlight some of the accomplished young music apprentices from the Harlem Nights program. There will be refreshments.  The ticket price is $50 per adult, and $25.00 for kids 12 and under.
