San Francisco PUC to Launch CleanPowerSF
January 2016 - The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will launch CleanPowerSF in May. CleanPowerSF is a Community Choice Aggregation that was nearly a decade in the making and will increase the city's renewable energy use from the current 27 percent to between 33 to 55 percent by delivering power generated from solar and wind. Customers will also have the opportunity to use 100 percent renewable energy by enrolling in the SuperGreen program. Energy service will continue to be maintained and delivered by PG&E. As a Community Choice Aggregation program, San Francisco PUC customers are automatically enrolled in CleanPowerSF.
