/EINPresswire.com/ -- Castle Mountain Resort will be hosting the fourth stop of the Southern Series this Sunday, Feb. 21. This will be an International Ski Federation (FIS) sanctioned event, and any participants with a FIS license will be eligible to receive points. The event will be a slopestyle competition held for both competitive snowboard and ski athletes of all skill levels. There will also be a Non-FIS jam style competition held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Registration will be open from 9:00-10 a.m. on the day of the event in the boardroom in the guest services area of the lodge. The award ceremony will be held in the day lodge stage area at 4 p.m.

"Alberta Snowboarding Association is encouraging residents in the area to come out and support the athletes," said Chelsea Webster, Director of Operations at ASA. "ASA is excited to provide youth in the Pincher Creek area with more opportunities to get involved in the sport. This event will allow local riders to showcase their skills in a more competitive yet fun atmosphere."
