Butte Family Dental Office to Host Halloween Candy Buy-Back Event
/EINPresswire.com/ -- BUTTE, MT--(Marketwired - October 31, 2015) - A Butte dental office that offers services for patients of all ages will hold a special Halloween candy buy-back event at the beginning of November.
Butte Family Dental will host the event Nov. 2 from noon to 5 p.m. for children who are willing to part with their hard-earned Halloween candy in exchange for cash. Children who drop off candy will receive $1 for every pound of candy. The office will accept up to five pounds of candy from every participant.
"It's tough for children to give away their candy, but we see this as a fun event that spreads awareness about the dangerous effects sugary treats have on kids' dental health," said Dr. Bill Brennick of Butte Family Dental.
In addition to the in-office event, the dental practice is working with the Key's Club from Butte High School and Butte Central Catholic High School to put candy drop-off boxes in the local elementary schools and throughout the city. All candy will be sent to Operation Gratitude, a program that sends the collected goods to deployed troops.
Butte Family Dental is known for its annual Halloween candy buy-back event. Over the years, the dental office has collected and sent hundreds of pounds of candy and other goods to Operation Gratitude. Many of the practice's young patients are ecstatic to put money in their pockets, too.

Butte Family Dental, 820 Sampson St., has three dentists, two full-time dental hygienists, four dental assistants and three front office staff.

Dr. Brennick, a Butte native, has been practicing dentistry since 1978 after two years with the U.S. Public Health Service. Dr. Brennick earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Carroll College and then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Washington University. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and Montana Dental Association and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and International College of Dentists. Dr. Brennick regularly attends continuing education courses and mentors dentists in his practice and the Butte area.
Dr. Tara Gilbreath received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in 2008. She then completed a yearlong residency at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry and served as the district treasurer for the Montana Dental Association. Dr. Gilbreath focuses on comprehensive patient care, esthetic dentistry and endodontics.
Dr. Kyle McIntyre, also a Butte native, graduated with honors in 2013 from Creighton University School of Dentistry. He has completed a postgraduate residency program at Idaho State University in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Dr. McIntyre also has advanced training in oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, dental implants and IV sedation. He holds memberships with the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
