Mr. Averill and Mr. Rudolph bring years of valuable industry experience to expand Pega's expertise in two of its growing vertical markets.

With more than 10 years of public sector experience, Douglas Averill joins Pega from the State of Maine, where he was the Director of Enterprise Process Transformation and a prolific user of Pega solutions. At Pega, Mr. Averill will drive the strategy and execution of strategic applications business plans in the Public Sector market. Mr. Averill also brings deep customer-side experience to his role, including sales, methodology alignment, reuse and enterprise roadmaps, and vendor management and delivery. Prior to his role at the State of Maine, he was a technical sales manager for United Technologies, a Fortune 50 company.

Steven Rudolph has a long history in the telecommunications industry with more than 15 years of experience in mobile, fixed, and cable, as well as a focus in customer lifecycle management and sales/service operations. In his new role, Mr. Rudolph will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction for Pega's industry-leading applications and growing its global presence in Communications & Media. Mr. Rudolph joins Pega from Outpace Systems, an enterprise software startup focused on marketing and sales automation. Prior to that, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company in the telecommunications practice. Mr. Rudolph also brings extensive international experience from roles across Latin America, Europe and Asia.
