EFSA is pleased to announce that everyone with an internet connection and an interest in food safety science can “virtually” attend (if not in person) EFSA’s scientific conference at Milan EXPO from 14 to 16 October.

The conference, titled “Shaping the Future of Food Safety, Together”, is a who’s who of leading minds on key scientific issues facing food safety across the globe. For people who cannot physically be there, EFSA is providing live online streaming of the entire conference, including the plenaries and all parallel breakout sessions via the EFSAExpo website.

That’s not all. Whether you’re in Milan, Malaga, Malmo or Manchester, if you want to take part, you can send us your questions through Twitter or a dedicated form on the EFSAExpo website. Experts will respond to a selection of these during Q&A slots at the end of each session.

On Twitter, to submit a question for a parallel session, you need to use two hashtags: #EFSAExpo2015 and a unique hashtag for the session. (These are printed on the conference programme, which will be available shortly and shared via Twitter in the run-up to the Conference.)

The Conference kicks off on 14 October at 14:00 CET and will be available live online until the final plenary session ends on 16 October at 15:30 CET.
