Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor: Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall To Travel to France and Switzerland
Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall will travel to France and Switzerland September 8-9, 2015.
Under Secretary Sewall will lead the United States delegation to the International Conference on the Victims of Ethnic and Religious Violence in the Middle East, co-hosted by the Governments of France and Jordan in Paris. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom David Saperstein will also participate.
While in Geneva, Under Secretary Sewall will lead the U.S. delegation to the Strategic Dialogue between the United States and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), which will focus on public diplomacy and countering violent extremism.
