Aviation News: MYGOFLIGHT to Deliver Three Advanced iPad Seminars Sponsored by Jeppesen

EAA AirVenture, Oshkosh, Wisc. | 16 Jul 2015 | By MYGOFLIGHT and Jeppesen

MYGOFLIGHT, maker of premium iPad and tablet gear for pilots, will conduct three seminars called 'Advanced iPad Use In-Flight – Connected Flight™ Edition' sponsored by Jeppesen during EAA’s AirVenture 2015 in Oshkosh. They will take place on Monday, July 20, 1 p.m. in Forum 6; Wednesday, July 22, 1 p.m. in the EAA Pilot Proficiency Center; and Friday, July 24, 1 p.m. in the Aviation Gateway Forums Stage.

This seminar will show pilots how to integrate and use the iPad during taxi, departure, cruise, diversion, approach and landing. It will prescribe how to connect the use of the iPad into a pilot’s workflow and aeronautical decision making during each critical phase of flight. It will answer when you use the iPad and when the panel.

“The iPad is now being used to replace paper onboard airplanes by many pilots” said Charles Schneider, CEO, MYGOFLIGHT. “However, the capability of the iPad and its flight apps can go well beyond paper chart replacement. It can help pilots make flying safer, simpler and more fun. It can help pilots fly more often and take longer flights by being able to connect to real time weather and navigational information, something we call “Connected Flight.” This seminar, the next in the series of 'MYGOFLIGHT iPad Takes Flight!' seminars, will provide pilots with an understanding of what is required to do just that."

“Providing pilots with information to make flying safer is at the heart of our operations at Jeppesen,” said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “We encourage pilots to attend this seminar to learn how navigational data is integrated with powerful in-flight apps such as Mobile FliteDeck for both IFR and VFR flying conditions that simplify complex processes and provide the right information at the right time.”

Real world scenarios will be used. Pilots are encouraged to come with their iPad/tablet charged and with their flight apps and data up to-date so they can follow along to develop/test their iPad proficiency.

Presenter Information Charles Schneider is an instrument rated pilot and an advocate of pilots taking advantage of advanced technology in-flight.  He has always flown with an EFB starting with heavy and expensive laptop computers.  With the advent of the iPad, Schneider saw it as an opportunity to use a low cost, securable, easy to use device to improve his flying. His goal with this seminar is to help pilots make flying safer, simpler and more fun. Schneider is CEO of MYGOFLIGHT, a company that teaches the benefits of using technology in-flight and maker of premium iPad gear and flight bags for pilots.
