WINDExchange Webinar: The Wind Vision

3:00 p.m. ET (1:00 MT) Join moderator Suzanne Tegen from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for an introduction to the Wind Vision, a recent publication that assesses the potential economic, environmental, and social benefits of a scenario in which U.S. wind power supplies 10% of the nation's electrical demand in 2020, 20% in 2030, and 35% in 2050. The following presenters are scheduled:
- Richard Tusing, New West Technologies, Consultant U.S. Department of Energy, will provide an introduction to the Wind Vision. Why did the Energy Department research the Vision, why are the findings important, and what are the impacts?
- Ryan Wiser, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Eric Lantz, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, will present an overview of the Wind Vision analysis and benefits.
- Ed DeMeo, Renewable Energy Consulting Services Inc., will present an overview of the roadmap to achieving the Vision.
