MIAMISBURG, OHIO, UNITED STATES, June 17, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- MIAMISBURG, Ohio – Retired teacher and author Rosalie Bernard teams up with Tate Publishing to ink her soon-to-be- published book, “Mimi and the Ghost Crab.” — Stacy Baker, Acquisitions Editor
An amusing story of empathy and determination, “Mimi and the Ghost Crab,” narrates the tale of two grand-kids and their grandparents who witness the miracle of sea turtles being hatched. Mimi teaches her grandchildren a dance they perform on the beach to help save the baby turtles from predators.
Bernard relates the story to an experience they had on Fripp Island, “I was inspired to write the book after witnessing a turtle hatch early one morning on Fripp Island, South Carolina. I jotted notes that morning as I watched the baby turtles scramble to the safety of the surf. I began writing the book several years later when I returned to the island,” she shares.
Parents and grandparents who read the book will most definitely identify with Mimi and her desire for her grandchildren to appreciate and benefit from nature’s softening influence.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Rosalie as a part of our team. She has created a fictional write-up that is not just appealing to small children who are fascinated with nature but also offers lessons to them in caring and perseverance,” states Stacy Baker, Director of Acquisitions for Tate Publishing.
Bernard is a retired school teacher who is a published author of educational articles and has been the recipient of numerous writing awards. She and her husband, Stan, have nine grandchildren who are their favorite adventure partners. Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release, through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
