BELLEVILL, N.J.--, UNITED STATES, June 17, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- BELLEVILLE, N.J. – Tate Publishing is proud to announce the signing of local author Marybell Martinez to kick-start the publication of her children’s book, “Preschool Blues.”

A witty story told from a child’s perspective, “Preschool Blues” is a juvenile fiction that tells the story of a boy and his very first day in preschool. Initially being intimidated by everyone else, he later finds out how preschool can be full of adventure and laughter and discovers how it can become an exciting journey.

“My inspiration to writing this book is the children that I work with. I am a Social Worker for an Early Childhood Program in Newark, New Jersey. Every year at the beginning of school, I encounter so many children who are scared and don't know what to expect from school… My goal is to make the transition easier for children and to let them know that school is a fun place where you can make friends, learn and use your imagination,” shares Martinez in an interview.

Martinez further shares of the main theme of her book which is conquering fear. “I want kids to know that it’s okay to be afraid of the unknown. The classroom environment is one of amazement, wonder and curiosity.”

“I am so thrilled to have Marybell as a part of our Tate family of authors. She is a talented author and her book tells a very amusing story packed with adventure and fun!” states Stacy Baker, Director of Acquisitions for Tate Publishing.

Martinez is a native of Newark, New Jersey. She is a social worker who specializes in working with at-risk children and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Rutger’s University.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release, through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
