DOE Selects Seven Contractors for Waste Treatment Basic Ordering Agreements
Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued seven Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) for the treatment of Low-Level Waste (LLW) and Mixed Low-Level Waste (MLLW). The LLW MLLW treatment services also include the treatment of liquid and solid Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) regulated waste, such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and asbestos. The following services will also be included under the issued BOAs: Treatment Storage Disposal Facility (TSDF) Authorized Release for Directed Disposal including Bulk Survey for Release (BSFR), Alternative Disposition Strategies (e.g. Restricted and Unrestricted Recycling/Reuse), Low Activity Waste (LAW) Services, and Ancillary Services such as waste storage and support in establishing authorized release limits.
As a result of the solicitation released in March 2015, the following Contractors were selected for BOAs and will provide the following selected services:

DOE Offices (including the National Nuclear Security Administration, Laboratories, and Project Offices), DOE Prime Contractors and Subcontractors to DOE Prime Contractors, performing environmental cleanup services for DOE, are authorized to place task orders under these BOAs.
All issued BOAs will be for a period of five years with no associated option periods. Task orders may include the treatment of multiple waste types. All Contractors will have a fair opportunity to compete for future fixed price task orders or indefinite quantity task orders with fixed-unit-rates placed against these BOAs for all eligible services listed on their individual BOAs.
The waste material to be treated under these BOAs originate from DOE facilities and is derived from Federal clean-up and remediation activities.
