SAN FRANCISCO – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy will join San Francisco officials, to announce City Hall becoming the oldest building in the nation to receive LEED Platinum Certification for Existing Buildings.
WHAT:
As San Francisco’s historic City Hall nears its centennial anniversary this summer, the building is being recognized for new, advanced environmental features that will save water and energy. The project and funding is a result of a partnership between the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), and City Administrator’s Office.
