14 Wyoming Teachers Receive 2015 Arch Coal Golden Apple Awards Certificates

WRIGHT, Wyo., May 11, 2015 – Golden Apple Awards certificates were presented to 14 outstanding classroom teachers today by the Arch Coal Foundation.

The Golden Apple Awards are part of the Arch Coal Foundation's teacher recognition program, which recently honored 10 superior Wyoming teachers with its highest award – the Teacher Achievement Award. Golden Apple recipients earned finalist status in the program, distinguishing them among the top tier of the 2015 nominees.

"Wyoming is fortunate to have many classroom teachers who are professional, caring and innovative," said Keith Williams, president of Thunder Basin Coal Company and group president, western operations, for Arch Coal. "Our judges said the scoring this year was among the very highest in the past several years. It reaffirms our belief that the children of our state are in good hands in their classrooms."

Teachers are nominated for the Arch Coal awards by the public and judges are past recipients of the Teacher Achievement Award. This is the 15th year for the awards in Wyoming.
