Food and drink industry represented in new Gangmasters Licensing Authority Board appointment
Angela Coleshill, the Employment, Skills and Corporate Director at the Food and Drink Federation, who was a previous Board member of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) chairing their GLA Finance and General Purposes Committee, has been appointed to the new Board announced 27 March 2015.
Angela will continue to represent the interests of food and drink manufacturers, bringing over 20 years' experience in fast moving operational leadership roles within contracted services, executive search, food production and retailing.
Commenting on her appointment, Angela Coleshill said:
“I am delighted to be re-appointed onto the Board where I will continue to ensure the GLA effectively delivers on the objective to protect vulnerable workers and drive out rogue traders in the supply of labour to the food supply chain. I am fully committed to ensuring the food industry retains the highest employment standards whilst maintaining a flexible labour market and strongly support the excellent work being done by the GLA to influence necessary change. Working together with enforcement authorities, communities and industry the GLA Board will support the GLA Executive team to continue to be effective in the delivery of its objectives to protect vulnerable individuals and stop the illegal exploitation of workers."
