Today, the White House announced the release of the Wind Program's Wind Vision Report, which quantifies the benefits of a robust wind energy future. Read more about the release of this highly-anticipated report from the Energy Department.

Over the past two years, more than 250 wind energy experts, academics, organizations, and national laboratories have revisited the findings of the Wind Program's 2008 20% Wind by 2030 Report, and have built upon its findings with a wealth of expertise and new data. The Wind Vision Report's resulting Study Scenario depicts wind power supplying 10% of the country's electricity in 2020, 20% in 2030, and 35% in 2050. While the full report details the full economic, environmental, and social benefits of wind energy, highlights of the Study Scenario include over 600,000 jobs supported by wind energy; $508 billion in savings from reduced pollutants; and 260 billion gallons of water saved by 2050.
