Public consultation: welfare assessment of dairy cows in small scale farms
EFSA is launching a public consultation on its review of information on small scale farms for dairy cows. It includes an overview of the number of dairy cows in the EU and farm size variation across countries, as well as a working definition and categorisation of small scale farms for the purpose of this assessment. This review will be part of a scientific opinion on the welfare of dairy cows in small scale farms, to be published in 2015. Interested parties are invited to submit comments by: 30 January 2015.
