Democracy, Human Rights, Refugees: Travel of Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues Robert King
Ambassador Robert King, Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, will travel to Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on November 10-14 for regular consultations with senior officials on a range of human rights and humanitarian issues.
Ambassador King will be in Tokyo on November 10 and 14 for meetings with senior Japanese government officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Cabinet members, and civil society members.
Ambassador King will be in Seoul on November 11-13 for meetings with senior ROK government officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Unification, and the Blue House. He will also participate in a human rights forum hosted by the Korea Institute for National Unification.
Ambassador King will return to Washington, D.C. on November 14.
