Striker Pierce Investigations Appoints Russell O'Shea as Senior Research Manager
Russell O'Shea to Manage Research of Human Capital Due Diligence, Real Estate Investment Due Diligence, and Background Investigations at Striker Pierce
Intelligence and research are the single most important items in any business transaction
ALEXANDRIA, VA, UNITED STATES, October 6, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ALEXANDRIA, VA, USA, October 6, 2014 Russell O'Shea has now been appointed Senior Research Manager for Striker Pierce's Due Diligence work, with a special focus on Real Estate, Human Capital, and Domestic Background Investigations.— Russell O'Shea, Striker Pierce Investigations
In recent months, Striker Pierce's Domestic Investigations business has increased in both volume and scope, creating a need for talented and creative research analysts as well as a strong manager to oversea and lead them. Russell O'Shea was chosen based on past performance, recent research victories, and the flexible mindset for Striker Pierce's notoriously "out of the box" solutions.
"Russell has been working for us for quite a few years and has been involved in some of Striker Pierce's most well known cases," stated Brian O'Shea, CEO and Founder of Striker Pierce. "His work ethic, get it done attitude, and just amazing sense for discovering clues that lead to actionable outcomes in all is work are unmatched."
Russell O’Shea joined Striker Pierce Investigations in 2011 and has performed incredibly in his role as a Researcher. Russell has created several innovative ways of combining traditional legal research with state-of-the-art methodologies acquired while working with several social media research and development firms in San Francisco.
Russell was asked to join the firm after he single-handedly provided tactical research to one of Striker Pierce’s larger clients, a New York based Mutual Fund, who was about to make a multi-million dollar investment in a South-eastern raw materials field. Russell uncovered numerous environmental violations, false claims on the investment’s websites, and major issues with the professional and public behavior of the investment’s top executives. At one point Russell hired a local fisherman to actually take him through the area swamps to have a closer look! He interviewed local residents, acquired footage of faulty equipment, and even leverage a contact in Switzerland to give an unbiased opinion of the investment's financials.
In turn, Russell saved the Client over $15 million in a faulty investment.
Prior to Striker Pierce, Russell worked in the U.S. Coast Guard from 2002-2006, and then as a Real Estate Researcher for the Logan Group from late 2005 till 2014.
"Russell is my brother and I historically have had strict rules about working with family," continued Brian O'Shea. "But when you find talent like Russell's, you hold onto it. Russell is more than an employee, he is an asset!"
"Intelligence and research are the single most important items in any business transaction," stated Russell at a recent conference with a Washington DC law firm specializing in commercial real estate transactions. "Having an intern or paralegal do a secondary scrub is just going to scratch the service. My team and I make a point to follow every lead, good and bad, to ensure we protect our Clients from hidden pitfalls, costly negligent mistakes, and any other details of a transaction or relationship that may not be disclosed. You absolutely have to focus on primary research to correctly identify these dangers. Many times this requires you to put on your hiking boots and go out to a site. This is the point where we have seen some of the craziest clues that something bad is going on...and trust me, we have seen them all!"
In the coming months, Russell will be meeting with real estate investors, small business owners, and more specialized groups in scheduled seminars to discuss the pitfalls of not performing proper due diligence on employees, investments, and partners.
