Although the development of the affordable housing sector has been on the nation’s agenda for a few years in South Africa, its development has been stalled due to insufficient infrastructure and lack of supporting services and financial backing resulting in a backlog of more than 2.3 million affordable and social houses in the country.
The conference, hosted by IQPC – in partnership with Gauteng Partnership Fund and Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa - will be a unique opportunity for contractors, consultants and suppliers to meet with Government departments – national, provincial and municipal departments – human settlement, public works and land and rural development, public and private property developers from South Africa looking to discuss industry challenges at a deal level and network with industry stakeholders.
